What a venue it is. Beautiful location right next to canal. Beautiful weather and love to sit out in beer garden and enjoy the super cool atmosphere. Service was good so do their staff cool and helpful. Not much in drinks they are offering but who care when their food is so delicious. It’s they have a glass terrace seems to be used as a function room is great for the lovely view. It was full packed when I been there so better if you book a table in advance.

My husband and I dropped in one Sunday thinking about lunch. We initially sat outside and enquired about food; a carvery was available but we had to eat that inside, fortunately they were able to accommodate both us and the two dogs with us. The carvery was delicious and having the chance to serve our own sides was a bonus. In addition, the team were so very helpful and friendly, we felt welcomed and treated exceptionally well. Couldn’t recommend enough

Beautiful pub in amazing surroundings. Lovely friendly staff and a wide variety of food including gluten free options at reasonable prices. Very dog friendly, water bowls provided. Nice garden overlooking canal and large conservatory with lots of tables and view over canal for days when weather is not so good. Amazing Sunday carvery too.

Lovely local spot for a relaxing drink and good food. Perfectly located on the canal next to the locks, where you can enjoy watching the boats and ducks.

Really lovely place to eat over looking the water, great food, great service.

Stopped in for some food and a walk. Everyone was nice in there, we sat outside in the sunshine with a lovely view of the lock. Enjoyed a mac and cheese while the partner enjoyed his scampi. Good portion and delicious!

“Pleasant, busy with Sunday roast lunch, friendly staff, on the canal overlooking the narrowboat waiting area to ascend the locks. Enjoyed a drink and a sandwich after watching a boat get up the ten locks very speedily. Small interesting museum too. Good for older children. Recommended.”
